“The unsurpassed, penetrating and perfect Truth
is seldom met with,
even in a hundred thousand myriad kalpas.
Now we can see and hear it.
We can remember and accept it.
I vow to make the Buddha's Truth one with myself."
The Lecture Verse
Dharma The gift of the Dharma excels all other gifts. Written and spoken offerings of the Dharma are true gifts to Dharma practitioners.
Offered here are fundamental aspects of Buddhist teaching, as well as the rich Scriptural heritage of the Mahayana tradition and that of the Serene Reflection Meditation (Soto Zen) School in digital and pdf formats. Rev. Master Jiyu-Kennett and Rev. Master Eko Little left extraordinary legacies of Dharma talks and written texts. Our current Abbess, Rev. Master Meian Elbert has continued offering the Dharma in Sunday Dharma Talks, Retreats and special occasions, as have other senior teachers.
Ceremonial and sacred chants and music is also an offering of the Dharma. Available here are the Morning Office and Morning Service, as well as other frequently sung scriptures, and invocations that are used in our festival ceremonies throughout the year.
